ACE Examinations

The exam is completely electronic and is "closed-book". No use of outside materials is permitted (e.g., notes, reference books, calculators, etc.).

The exam is administered through a proctor who should remain in the room during the course of the examination. The exam will be sent to your proctor at least 48 hours in advance. You'll want to ensure that your proctor has a high speed internet connection.

The exam is 150 questions and you will be given three hours to test. The test must be taken in one sitting.

If you hit "submit", your test will be sent as-is and any unanswered questions will be scored as incorrect. Please review your answers carefully before hitting “submit”.

Your username (also called Student ID) and password for this examination will be supplied to your proctor by the Certification Coordinator. If you do not have a username and password yet, please contact bce@entsoc.org or phone 410-263-3622.

Your exam is automatically scored and is then reviewed by the Chair of the BCE Examining Committee. One of them will will review your score and communicate your results to you and the Certification Coordinator simultaneously.

If you have technical problems during the test, you can send an email to bce@entsoc.org and ask for assistance, though it is possible that no immediate assistance might be available to you. Thus, it might be best to take the exam weekdays between the hours of 9:00am and 4:00pm EST when assistance is most likely to be available.

Good luck!
