Long-Awaited ACE-International Program Becomes a Reality
 
(Annapolis, MD) -- At their semi-annual meeting on June 26, 2014, the Certification Corporation Governing Board of the Entomological Society of America (ESA) approved the launch of an International Associate Certified Entomologist (ACE-I) program. This global version of ESA’s popular U.S.-based ACE certification and credentialing program will support pest management professionals (PMPs) from all nations.

The ACE exam is organized into four primary knowledge areas called Domains. Each Domain is broken down into a number of Skills. Every question on the ACE Exam will correlate to a Skill on the Content Outline (some may apply to more than one, but each will be categorized in one area. The four Domains are:

To better serve our certification community, starting in 2014 the Associate Certified Entomologist program moved to a 3-year renewal cycle rather than annual renewals. The new cycle was phased-in during 2014 with all current renewals being for a 3-year.

Experts Improve Associate Certified Entomologist Program for Pest Control Operators

Lanham, MD; May 9, 2012 -- A panel of ten insect pest-control experts convened in Annapolis, MD recently to review and improve the Associate Certified Entomologist (ACE) program, a certification program run by the Entomological Society of America Certification Corporation (ESACC) which seeks to raise the ever-increasing level of professionalism in the pest control industry by developing standards for applicators. Applicants for certification must meet minimum standards, be certified operators in at least one state, and pass an examination.
