Certification Corporation Governing Board
ESA's certification programs are overseen by the ESA Certification Corporation Governing Board (ESACC GB), which is responsible for setting fees, policies, and creating standards for certification programs. The ESACC GB meets throughout the year via teleconference and twice annually in person. During months when the ESACC GB does not convene, an Executive Committee of the ESACC GB generally meets via teleconference and is empowered to make decisions on behalf of the full ESACC GB. Much of the operational decisions are handled by the Certification Board.
Overall policy for the ESA's certification programs is set by the Certification Corporation Governing Board, but operational decisions are managed by the elected Certification Board. The Certification Board oversees the certification program, sets certification standards, and promotes the recognition of BCEs and ACEs. The Certification Board consists of a Director, Past Director, Director-Elect, and Representatives from the various BCE specialties, two Ad Hoc positions, plus two ACE Representatives.
