Emerald ash borer (EAB) is considered the most destructive forest pest the U.S. has ever faced, and is slowly spreading westward. This 2-hour webinar will begin with an update of this pest in the west by Dr. Kadie Britt (Colorado State University), who leads a multi-state effort funded by the Western IPM Center to raise awareness of EAB. Dr. Clifford Sadof, retired entomologist from Purdue University, will then present the staggering efforts conducted in the eastern U.S. to combat this pest. The webinar is part of the Cultivating Healthy Plants webinar series presented by the University of Idaho, University of Nevada, Montana State University, and Utah State extension programs.
