Entomology 2025 will proceed as planned, despite potential travel delays

November 6, 2025

At ESA, we are excited to welcome you to Entomology 2025. It promises to be four days of cutting-edge science, world-class networking, and unforgettable experiences.

We know that some attendees are concerned about the potential for travel disruptions related to the ongoing federal government shutdown. However, airlines have stated that they expect the vast majority of travelers to be unaffected, and we remain confident that disruptions will remain minimal.

ESA is moving forward with Entomology 2025 as planned, with no changes to the schedule of events or scientific program. While we are sorry for anyone who might be negatively affected by any potential flight disruptions, per our cancellation policy, ESA is no longer able to offer refunds for cancelled registrations.

ESA staff and volunteer leaders are arriving in Portland now and eagerly preparing to host you and your colleagues for the world’s largest annual gathering of insect scientists. We look forward to seeing you there!
